Colorado Program LEAPs into Action with Prize Wheel
Colorado’s Low Income Energy Assistance Program (LEAP) featured a Prize Wheel during Harvest of Families event in Pueblo County.
The inaugural event included a winter jacket giveaway and community resource fair. Kids enjoyed fall-themed festivities, like pumpkin decorating and arts and crafts, while their parents learned more about available resources from local groups.
Hundreds of coats were donated for the event.
“No kid has walked out of here without a coat today,” said Pueblo school teacher and event organizer Tisha Wyatt. “We’ve given coats to over 200 kids.”
