We take the Prize Wheel to professional conferences where we put it outside our booth. We stand by it and spin it to put out the clacking sound. As people walk by, they hear the sound and look over at us and then come over to spin the wheel. While they are at the booth, we get to talk to them about our organization.
By changing the inserts, we can lend the wheel to members of other organizations so they can use it when we aren’t. We always include a slot for gold U.S. dollars and the next day, replace it with a slot for $2 bills. The bank has these so we buy about 20 to 40 of each to last us the three days of the conference. They are usually the most popular spots on the wheel. Sometime we use pictures of the prizes and at other times, we use numbers of the bins that hold the prizes.
