Pride Prize Wheel in Washington
Pride spun through Centralia, Washington for Lewis County Pride. The event included a Prize Wheel from Centralia Prevention Coalition.
While the LGBTQ+ community has had a long history in Lewis County, it has only been the past two years that this history been recognized with an official Pride festival in downtown Centralia.
Organizations took part in the June 22, 2022 event with booths around Pine Street Plaza during the festival. They offered Pride-themed giveaways, messages of support for the LGBTQ+ community and information on the resources their organizations offered in the area. The Rural Youth Alliance hosted a family-friendly activity corner where volunteers did free face paintings, oversaw crafts and hosted a kids story time.
