This Pride season, Milwaukee Repertory Theater brought more than just its bold artistic spirit to the Summerfest grounds—they brought excitement, engagement, and giveaways with their Prize Wheel front and center.
Set up near the iconic Skyyline Mainstage at Henry Maier Festival Park, Milwaukee Rep’s booth attracted festivalgoers all day long, inviting attendees to “spin the wheel for your chance to win incredible Milwaukee Rep prizes.” The centerpiece of the booth was the Medium Prize Wheel, a tabletop model standing 30 inches tall with 12 fully customizable slots—each one offering a chance to win branded swag, performance tickets, and other fun surprises.
As one of the nation’s premier regional theaters, Milwaukee Rep is no stranger to the power of creative engagement. Their choice to use a Prize Wheel wasn’t just about giveaways—it was about interaction. In a high-energy setting like Pride at Summerfest, the Prize Wheel created a natural draw, sparking conversation, laughter, and moments of joy with every spin.
With more than 575 artists and staff supporting 700 performances a year, Milwaukee Rep continues to serve as a cultural engine for the region. Their appearance at Pride, complete with the Prize Wheel, exemplifies their mission: using theater—and community outreach—as a catalyst for connection and positive change.
“Just like Milwaukee, we’re not what people usually expect,” their mission proudly states. That rang true during Pride, as they brought theater to the people in a way that was interactive, unexpected, and undeniably fun.
By choosing the Medium Prize Wheel, Milwaukee Rep had a setup that was easy to transport, quick to assemble, and visually striking. With its compact table-top design and bright, colorful custom inserts, it fit perfectly into the bustling energy of the festival.
Milwaukee Rep’s Prize Wheel was more than a marketing tool—it was a reflection of their commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community celebration. From the stage to the streets (or in this case, the lakefront), Milwaukee Rep continues to show how local arts organizations can lead with creativity and purpose.
