Spins on the Prize Wheel for National Aviation Week
National Aviation Day was August 19, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport celebrated with a week of events for guests and employees. A scavenger hunt, games, face painting, and spins on the Prize Wheel were part of the festivities.
National Aviation Day was proclaimed by U.S. President Franklin Delano Roosevelt in 1939. The date – August 19 – was chosen to honor the birthday of aviation pioneer Orville Wright.
