Steelers fans from all over will have plenty to cheer about when Western Pennsylvania’s annual SteelersFest returns on August 1, to Legion Keener Park in Latrobe. This free, family-friendly celebration is timed perfectly with the Pittsburgh Steelers’ training camp at nearby Saint Vincent College—and it brings with it one of the most anticipated attractions of the summer: the event prize wheel.
Running from 11 AM to 5 PM, SteelersFest invites fans to join a full day of festivities that highlight the excitement and energy of Steelers Nation. Among the biggest crowd-pleasers is the interactive event prize wheel, where fans of all ages can take a spin to win fun surprises, giveaways, and Steelers-themed merchandise. It’s a simple but unforgettable activity that keeps the crowd energized and engaged throughout the day.
Held in the heart of Latrobe, just east of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this celebration is much more than just a gathering—it’s a community tradition that showcases the pride and passion of local fans. In addition to the prize wheel, SteelersFest features inflatable attractions for children, face painting, and photo ops with the official Pittsburgh Steelers-branded Ford F150 truck. The atmosphere will be filled with music from DJ DarkShark and live performances by the Steeline Drumline, performing from 1 to 5 PM. Fans will also have the chance to meet Steelers mascot Steely McBeam and enjoy a live KDKA radio broadcast with Larry Richert from 12 to 2 PM.

Autograph seekers will want to stick around for exclusive meet-and-greet sessions with Steelers legends John Banaszak and Chris Hope, scheduled later in the afternoon. Children ages 6 to 14 can sign up in advance for a free youth football mini camp taking place the same day at the Latrobe Parks and Recreation baseball field, where participants will receive a T-shirt, water bottle, and a ticket to the team’s night practice.
The excitement carries into the evening as the Pittsburgh Steelers host their traditional Friday Night Lights public practice at Latrobe Memorial Stadium starting at 7 PM. Digital tickets for the event can be purchased online or in person at the park or stadium on the day of the event, with all proceeds supporting the Greater Latrobe School District’s athletic programs.
Briana Tomack, president and CEO of the Greater Latrobe-Laurel Valley Regional Chamber of Commerce, which organizes SteelersFest, calls the event “a fantastic way to kick off the ‘Friday Night Lights’ tradition and truly embrace the excitement of training camp here in Latrobe.”
For fans from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and beyond, SteelersFest is a can’t-miss summer tradition. And if you’re heading to the park, don’t forget to stop by the event prize wheel—where one lucky spin could be the highlight of your day.
